Now, there are people who are people and there are people who are not people. And suddenly it seems to me that people who are not people are becoming more and more
and the people who are people are becoming less and less. That is to say there are people who are something inside themselves.
And to them thewre are also people who are not something inside themlves. There are people who are nothing.
Now, on the surface there are people who are something to be noticed who are not really to be paid any attention to.
Now, on the surface there are people who are nothing to be noticed who are really to be paid attention to. That is there are people who are what they are on the inside it is all.
And there are people who are all that they are on the outside. It is something that worries me a lot at the moment. There are people who are people who are what they are mostly on the inside.
And there are people who are not. People who are what they are on the outside. That used to worry me because it used to worry me.
But now perhaps it is only that it is only that. I saw a great collection of people who are not people on the inside. I saw them and thought they were letting themselves down.
For a long time I saw them and felt instinctively that they were letting themselves down, and so I may be right also. And I felt that that was what they were doing, really.
That they were letting themselves down. And so I thought about it and thought that that was that. That was what it was. It was that thing that was.
And then I said that what I thought really was that there were people who by what they were on the outside were letting down what they were on the inside.
That was very selfish of me because really I was saying that there were people who were on the outside letting down what I thought they ought to be on the inside.
It was what I thought should have been and that was only clear because it was not what I thought it should have been. So that is how it was very selfish.
And then I thought some more. There are people who are what they are on the outside and there are people who are what they are on the inside.
And if you are what you are on the inside you don't really have an outside at all. And if you are what you are on the outside you don't really have an inside at all.
And I was very selfish. I was saying that by being what they were on the outside they were letting down what they were on the inside.
And that was selfish because I was saying what they should be on the inside. And in fact they are what they are on the outside they are not anything on the inside.
And that was selfish because I was saying what there should be on the inside. And in fact if they are what they are on the outside they are not anything on the inside.
And I come back to seeing I was being really selfish. I was judging people for what I thought they should be. And it is too selfish to judge.
Instead people are bing what they are on the inside or the outside and there is no way I can judge. Life or death or murder or decay. It is what it is.
There is a slow steady eye working always for itself to be no more than itself.
It is nothing smiled the old man without a word. It is nothing. If it can be that even an old beard will grow white. If that is all.
