A sheaf of poems and an apple for the teacher.

To the people who always wait
Patiently
I have seen you there
As with your eyes
You trace cold lines
Across my back
I have seen you waiting
Rows like freckles
Smile without a person
I have seen you there
And know you
Cold eyes for cold tears
And you will never walk this way.

He said it as he meant it
He said it as he meant it
He said it as he meant it
He meant it as he said it.

Words that have no meaning
And meanings that have no words
We sing to them.

It's like standing at the bus stop
Waiting
When you know the busses aren't running
But you stand there anyway
Because there's nothing else you can do
There's no way home.

So you're standing at the bus stop
And the bus never comes.

Armour and. A love song.
To the miscellaneous stranger who might be on the bus.

Standing there
It is raining
Driving near here

I can see him every morning
I think each time I see his eyes
And they are watching me
And as the moment passes
Again and again
I feel with my mind to the cold metal bus

Standing here
  A warm blast
    :The passing wind

Rolling slowly rolling by
And that is the way of life
You can see us every morning
Throwing from our eyes our hopes
Across the cold glass windows.

And you can see us
We choose to be blind
And you can see us.

He saw through to the stars
  On the good days
And he wanted to be like that
He couldn't see the sadness
  Wasn't looking for that.

Somehow it didn't seem to matter
 Just closed his eyes
  And looked upwards.

(for G.E.)

Words, you know
 Don't mean anything very much
Not now
Not ever
But that's why we use them
  Use all of them
 Not meaning very much
 Not meaning anything

I have tears for you still
 And words for tears
 And you.

(for G.E.)

Words lie dead, and broken promises
Pieces of it all lie dead
Knowing about life is not living
Words are not knowing
So that was you
Part of that life.

(for G.E.)

A view
A chance view
A perspective
Just a perspective
Adjust a perspective.

Michael dressing has a space in his mind
Where he keeps his pension
And one day the space closed over
Michael Dressing has a space in his mind
Where he keeps his pension and his mother
And one day the space closed over.
